Over 50 young Nippers from Ballina Lighthouse and Lismore Surf Life Saving Club competed at the Far North Coast Teams Carnival at Byron Bay yesterday. The calm conditions in the morning produced some fantastic performances by Josh Buttenshaw (bronze in flags), Kirsty Graham-Jones (silver in wade and bronze in flags), Gold (again) for the Under 9 sprint relay team (Ben Simmonds, Oliver Rupnik, Miles Tomkins and Sam Green), bronze for the Under 11 surf swim team (Mason Hilyard, Jack Callaghan, Abbey Graham-Jones and Wil Jones), Bonnie Crook (bronze in flags) and Isabella Jones (gold in flags). Nippers will now focus on the Country Championships to be held in South West Rocks in January.
