Ballina Lighthouse & Lismore SLSC
2011 Proficiency Information
Proficiency dates for Ballina, Lennox Head and Evans Head can be found below. Members from all clubs are able to attend on these dates. If you can't make it toyour own club the others are not too far away. Proficiency dates for other clubs in the branch are not available yet.
For our newer members, you most complete an annual proficiency before 31st December each year to remain proficient and continue to carry out patrolling duties, water safety duties or compete at carnivals.
Proficiency will be in two sections: It is recommended that members make every effort to attend one of the night sessions. If they cannot time will be available between 8am and 9am at the day session but we will not be able to cater for large numbers. The run swim run (RSR) will start at 9am sharp.
Night: CPR, Defib awareness, Spinal (land component). Assessors will be available for 2 hours between 6pm and 8pm. There is no need for everyone to arrive at 6pm.
Day - RSR, Rescues and assessment, Spinal (Water), Signals, Radio questions, IRB crew and driver (IRB crew and driver may also be carried out on patrol days if assessors are available)
ATV induction will also need to be carried out during patrols.
